Our Mission for Kindergarten
The Mission of Anfield International Kindergarten and Nursery is to provide a safe, loving, Christian environment in which the young child can be nurtured spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and physically. We pledge to work in partnership with the home and the church to meet the total needs of the child. We will strive to glorify Jesus before our students and their families as a witness to our community.

The Board of Governors comprises of professional, individual members, who are passionate about supporting the ongoing success of Anfield. The Principals, School Governors and Honorary Advisors are all members, appointed by the Board from time to time. To capitalize upon this professionalism and share the workload, the Board is organised into a number of Governance Committees. Each committee is chaired by a Governor, and meets as required, to review policy and monitor performance.
The responsibility of each Principal is to manage Anfield on a day-to-day basis, helped by selected members of the Governors. The Board appoints Principals as the Chief Academic and Administrative Oficers, to lead the schools academically, whilst also managing their affairs. The Principals report to the Board at regular meetings.

HISTORY
Anfield was founded in 1999 by like-minded professionals who sought to provide a high quality British style international education which would be undertaken in a small school setting.
Established in August 2000, Anfield International Kindergarten is a private, co-educational Catholic institution dedicated to preparing children for progression into international primary school systems. We offer a British curriculum adapted to take account of our international setting.
Anfield International Kindergarten now expanded into two campuses: the original one at Kowloon Tong opened in 2000, and the ensuing one at Laguna Verde in 2008. They serve the community by providing an English-based, highly interactive and stimulating educational curriculum at playgroup, nursery and kindergarten levels.
Our primary school – Anfield School – represented a logical and necessary extension to an educational vision. During the past few years, Anfield continually received requests from parents to establish our own primary school. The reasons were:
- Scarcity of schools in Hong Kong catering to the needs of parents and students who aspire to an English language based style of education.
- Continuity of Anfield ‘s educational philosophy which has been so successfully implemented at the Anfield International Kindergartens and Nurseries
Consequently, in September 2011, Anfield School was established at Tai Wai, Shatin. Throughout its history Anfield has had a reputation for being a loving, caring, happy and relaxed school where children can enjoy their school days whilst also learning. Children therefore look back on their Anfield relationship with fond memories. This atmosphere remains and is greatly treasured to this day.
