Dear Parent,

The Anfield Senior Management Team has been monitoring the Coronavirus situation closely, and you will now also be aware that the Education Bureau (EDB) requires schools to remain suspended until Monday 2nd March.

This should not be seen as an extended holiday for our students. It is vitally important that teaching and learning continues, so that your child’s educational progress is not unduly hindered. Therefore, from Monday 3rd February, we will be facilitating home learning. Your child will be provided with learning materials online, with accompanying guidance, which their teachers have prepared. You will be notified later today as to how to access them. Please support us by ensuring that your child addresses these materials each day, just as they would in school, and completes them by the end of each week. The materials address specific curriculum objectives planned for this term, so it is important that your child completes them thoroughly. Feedback will be given to students to keep them ‘on target’ with their learning. Teaching staff are diligently preparing material to ensure continuity over the next four weeks, and you will receive a new set of materials each Monday. We will value your feedback during this period.

As advised by the Health Department, please maintain high levels of vigilance against the spread of the Coronavirus and ensure good personal, food and environmental hygiene at all times. Additional health precautions have been put in place at each school site, and the premises have been thoroughly cleaned to ensure a hygienic environment in which staff can work. Any staff members who have returned from Mainland China are under self-imposed quarantine for 14 days.

As always, we greatly value your co-operation during this difficult time. We are currently reviewing upcoming events and will provide further updates in the next few days.

Please take good care of yourselves and stay safe until our Anfield family is back together again.

Yours sincerely,
Linda Coveney
